Pre-Pregnancy & Prenatal Care with Purpose
Dr. Judy Cook’s mission is to support women and families through pregnancy with care that is thoughtful, evidence-based, and deeply respectful of the body’s intelligence. From pre-conception through pregnancy and postpartum, our focus is on helping women feel supported, informed, and physically prepared for each stage of this journey.

With clinical training, lived experience, and a deep understanding of women’s health, Dr. Cook provides individualized care that looks beyond protocols and timelines to the full picture of maternal wellbeing.

Pre-Conception Care

How you prepare before pregnancy matters. Pre-conception care is about creating a strong physiological foundation so the body is better equipped for conception, pregnancy, and recovery.

This care is designed for women and couples who:

  • Want to proactively support fertility and pregnancy health
  • Have experienced complications such as gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, or preterm labour
  • Are navigating fertility challenges, hormonal imbalances, or pregnancy loss
  • Are preparing for or currently undergoing fertility treatments such as IVF or IUI

Our goal is not just conception, but long-term maternal and infant health.

Prenatal Naturopathic Support

Prenatal care is most effective when it supports the whole person. Dr. Cook’s approach works alongside conventional medical care to provide targeted, individualized support throughout pregnancy.

This includes:

  • Trimester-specific nutrient assessment and monitoring
  • Personalized nutrition and supplementation plans
  • Support for common pregnancy concerns such as nausea, fatigue, sleep disruption, pain, and digestion
  • Guidance on reducing environmental and lifestyle stressors
  • Thoughtful preparation for labour and postpartum recovery
  • Education and support around Group B Strep (GBS)

Care is adjusted as pregnancy evolves, recognizing that needs change at every stage.

Our Philosophy of Care

Dr. Cook’s approach centers on understanding why the body may be struggling rather than simply managing symptoms. By identifying underlying nutritional, hormonal, metabolic, or stress-related factors, care plans are built to support resilience, confidence, and informed decision-making.

This is proactive, science-informed care that respects individuality, not one-size-fits-all advice.
The aim is a healthier pregnancy, a well-supported newborn, and a stronger postpartum recovery for the mother.

Personalized Laboratory Assessment

Many women enter pregnancy with nutrient levels that are less than optimal, even when routine care appears “normal.” Targeted laboratory testing allows for a more accurate and personalized approach.

Testing may help:

  • Identify imbalances that can affect fertility, pregnancy progression, or recovery
  • Guide supplementation based on data rather than assumptions
  • Monitor trimester-specific needs as the body adapts to pregnancy

By combining evidence-based testing with clinical insight and lifestyle assessment, care plans remain practical, responsive, and tailored to the individual woman.
